Changelog - what we shipped

EVERY RELEASE MADE THE DAY QUIETER.

We ship most weeks. Here are the changes studios actually felt - no version-number noise, just what got better.

Last release · version v0.47.0

  1. v0.29.0

Your money, faster lists and taking your data with you

    Added
    • A new Money page answers the three questions about your own business: what you have taken, what you are still owed, and which artist brought in what. Every figure is worked out from your booking and payment records as the page loads, so it is never a stale total, and months follow your studio's calendar rather than UTC.
    • You can now export everything your studio holds in Runavel from the new Export data page: a zip with a spreadsheet for clients, bookings, payments, enquiries, consents, artists, studios and services. It is built in the background and the download stays available for seven days. Signed consent PDFs are listed with a link to each rather than bundled, because they are encrypted where they are stored.
    Changed
    • The client and booking lists now search on the server and load a page at a time instead of every record you have ever created. Finding a client is typing part of a name, email or phone number rather than scrolling.
    • The public pages no longer mention artist payouts, which Runavel does not do.
  2. v0.27.2

    Honest figures and readable sizes

    Fixed
    • Storage figures are shown in units a person reads (2.4 GB rather than a long row of digits) everywhere they appear.
  3. v0.27.1

    A look of our own

    Added
    • Runavel has its own design: a new colour palette, typography and a consistent set of components across every screen, with the fonts served from Runavel rather than a third party.
    • Emails are now properly designed in HTML with a plain-text version, matching the app, and they render correctly in dark mode.
    Changed
    • Every list now refreshes itself when something changes, and the audit log says what actually changed rather than only which record was touched.
    • The staff console and the app are visibly different environments, so there is no doubt which one you are looking at.
  4. v0.26.0

A trial, and a gentler door

    Added
    • New studios get a 14-day trial of the back office. Your public page opens as soon as your first payment goes through.
    Changed
    • A studio that has paid and then stopped keeps its public page and can finish the bookings it already has. Only new work is paused, and paying resumes everything.
    • A failed card payment now gives you seven days of full access before anything changes, rather than locking the diary on the day.
  5. v0.25.1

    Plans and payment

    Added
    • You can now sign up, choose a plan and pay by card through Stripe, then use Runavel straight away.
    • Change plan, cancel at the end of the period and read your invoices from the Plan page.
  6. v0.24.0

    Plans, limits and usage

    Added
    • A new Plan and usage page shows which plan your studio is on and how much of it you are using - artists, locations, photo storage and bookings this period - with a warning as you approach a limit rather than at the moment you hit it.
    Changed
    • If you run out of room for an artist, a location or a photo upload, the app now tells you exactly what has run out and what to do about it. Nothing you have already uploaded is removed or hidden, and bookings are never blocked.
  7. v0.23.2

    Faster opening hours

    Changed
    • Setting your opening hours is much quicker: fill in Monday, then use 'Copy Monday to every day' and adjust the days that differ, instead of filling in all seven by hand.
  8. v0.23.1

    Client erasure and setup fixes

    Added
    • Erasing a client now clears their personal details - name, contact details, notes and reference images - while keeping the payment records and signed consent documents you are required to retain.
    Fixed
    • Logging in now takes you straight to your dashboard, and logging out leaves you on the log-in page rather than the public page with no way back in.
    • An expired or already-used invitation link now explains itself on the log-in page, where a fresh link can be requested.
    • The getting-started checklist points at the screens that actually complete each step: the artist steps open your own profile editor, and opening hours no longer count as set for a studio that is closed all week.
    • Publishing your profile now asks for your pseudonym first, because it forms your public page address, and once you are live it shows a link to view your public page.
    • Starting your first enquiry or booking before you have any clients now points you to add one, instead of showing an empty list to choose from.
    • The menu no longer shows stray list bullets next to Send feedback and Settings.
  9. v0.23.0

    Guided setup and feedback

    Added
    • A getting-started checklist on your dashboard walks a new studio through first setup - create your studio, set your opening hours, add and publish an artist, log your first enquiry and take your first booking - ticking each step off automatically from your real data and tidying itself away once you are set up.
    • A 'Send feedback / need help' action in the menu lets you send us a message straight from the app, along with the page you are on, so we can help quickly.
    Fixed
    • Signing up no longer fails when the confirmation email cannot be sent: your account is still created and you are pointed to request a fresh login link, instead of seeing an error.
