Changelog - what we shipped

EVERY RELEASE MADE THE DAY QUIETER.

We ship most weeks. Here are the changes studios actually felt - no version-number noise, just what got better.

Last release · version v0.47.0

  1. v0.41.1

    The watchman stops hanging

    Fixed
    • The check that watches the live site could hang on a page that keeps a live connection open, and then report a problem that was not there. It now gives up quickly and says so.
  2. v0.41.0

A day that matches, and a watchman

    Changed
    • The home page now walks through the day the product actually has: the reminder you can see the outcome of, and closing a booking with its end time and what it used.
    Fixed
    • A real browser now opens the live site every few hours and checks that its pages not only answer but work - a page whose JavaScript died halfway looks fine to a monitor and is useless to a person.
  3. v0.40.0

    Measured, found and painted

    Added
    • Runavel says plainly that it is in early access - on the way in, in the footer of every page, and in the terms, where what that means is set out along with the two things that make it fair: your work is backed up, and your data leaves with you whenever you want it.
    Changed
    • The red brush stroke on the home page is now a real brush - it lays paint from left to right as you scroll, instead of sliding a rectangle out from under the page.
    • The error pages wear the same mark as the rest of the site, so a wrong turn still looks like Runavel.
    Fixed
    • Some machine-readable pointers still sent search and answer engines to three addresses that no longer exist.
  4. v0.39.0

    The public site

    Added
    • Runavel has a public site: what the product does, what it costs, what has changed and who is behind it - and every page says only what the application actually does today.
    • A features page that follows one studio day from doors-shut to cashing up, showing the real screens rather than drawings of them.
    • Pricing read from the plan catalogue, so the page and the payment can never disagree.
    • A changelog anyone can read, straight from the one this file belongs to.
  5. v0.38.0

Stock and what a job costs

    Added
    • Your stock is now in Runavel: the inks, needles, jewellery and everything else you buy, with what is on the shelf worked out from what arrived and what was used - never a number somebody typed over.
    • Closing a booking asks when the work actually finished and what it used. The shelf goes down by itself, and the booking shows what those materials cost.
    • The money screen shows materials month by month beside what you took, priced at what that stock cost when it arrived - so a supplier putting prices up does not make last month look worse than it was.
    • One message a day, in your own evening, listing anything under a level you set. Nothing low means nothing sent, and lines you have not set a level on are never mentioned.
  6. v0.37.0

    The channel we switched on

    Added
    • A booking now shows what happened to its reminder: sent by email, sent by text, refused, or not sent at all with the reason. The same appears on the client record, so nobody has to guess whether a client was told.
    • A client who stops the text messages by replying STOP is marked as opted out automatically. The studio no longer keeps paying for messages a carrier is blocking, and the client record stops saying they are happy to be texted.
    • New studios get 14 days of the back office free, without giving a card. The plan screen says when the trial ends and that nothing has been charged; a studio's public page still opens with its first payment.
    Changed
    • Recording a refund now says plainly that Runavel does not send the money: you return it the way you took it, then write it down here.
    • While a member of our team is viewing a studio's account for support, a notification can no longer cover the banner that says so, or the button that ends it.
    Fixed
    • A reminder that failed used to be invisible: nothing on the booking changed and the failure went only to a log file.
  7. v0.35.1

Text-message reminders can be switched on

    Added
    • Text-message reminders can now be connected to a provider, including an account in the EU so that message data stays there. Until a studio's platform has one configured, reminders continue to go by email only.
    Fixed
    • The platform's own integrations screen reported error monitoring as switched off while it was in fact running.
  8. v0.35.0

Controls that are the size they should be

    Changed
    • Buttons, fields, selects and date pickers now render at the height the design system intends. They were quietly a third smaller than that everywhere in the app, which was most noticeable filling in a form or working the calendar on a phone.
    Fixed
    • Security and stability improvements.
  9. v0.34.0

Forms that match the rest of the app

    Changed
    • Form controls across the app - the calendar, consent forms, your profile and client records - now use the same fields and buttons as everywhere else, so they look and behave consistently. Nothing you enter or how you enter it has changed.
  10. v0.33.1

    A faster back office

    Fixed
    • Moving between screens in the back office no longer reloads the whole page. Clicking through clients, bookings, the calendar and the rest is now immediate, and you keep your place on the page instead of being dropped back at the top.
